TUSTIN — Today, NARAL Pro-Choice America and Laborers’ International Union of North America (LIUNA) announced their endorsement of Dr. Asif Mahmood for Congress. NARAL, a non-profit with 2.5 million members, fights for reproductive freedom through access to abortion care, birth control, paid parental leave, and protections from pregnancy discrimination. LIUNA, a union made up of over 70,000 public employees in the construction and energy industries, works to protect workers’ family-supporting wages, meaningful benefits, and advancement opportunities.
Dr. Mahmood is a strong proponent of helping people regardless of their background, having worked with thousands of patients in his practice. He will take that principle to Congress and work across the aisle to pass legislation that people in CA-40 are calling for, supporting women and workers alike.
