TUSTIN — Today, U.S. Representative and Chair of the House Intelligence Committee Adam Schiff endorsed Dr. Asif Mahmood for Congress.
“Dr. Asif Mahmood will be a welcomed addition to Congress,” said Schiff. “As a physician, Asif is a problem-solver– someone who spent his entire career helping others. He is a thoughtful and intelligent leader, focused not only on the well-being of those in California but people around the country, and I look forward to seeing all of the important work he does for his district and beyond.”
Asif has dedicated his life and career to helping others. A pulmonologist and doctor of internal medicine by trade, Dr. Mahmood has treated thousands of patients across Southern California.
As a community leader for over twenty years, he actively volunteers with organizations such as UNICEF and Valley Rescue Mission and donates his time and expertise to free clinics. He is also the chair of the Organization for Social Media Safety, which fights cyber-bullying and cyber-exploitation of children.
