TUSTIN — Today, U.S. Senator Tim Kaine announced his endorsement of Dr. Asif Mahmood’s campaign for Congress.
“I’m excited to support Dr. Asif Mahmood for Congress,” said Kaine. “As a physician for over two decades, Dr. Mahmood has worked tirelessly to solve people’s challenges. I believe that as a Member of Congress, he would do the same to tackle problems his constituents face — like lowering costs, creating good-paying jobs, and expanding internet access.”
Dr. Mahmood has devoted his life’s work to helping others. A passionate physician, he has made it a rule in his practice that if a patient does not have health insurance, his office won’t ask for payment.
Mahmood has been a leader in Southern California for over twenty years, both in his practice and through nonprofit work. He volunteers extensively with organizations like UNICEF and Valley Rescue Mission and donates his time to free clinics.
